Who Will Stop the Patriots?Tom Brady to Randy Moss Connection is Working to PerfectionWith an always powerful AFC, the out come is almost always unpredictable, but with the New England Patriots playing up to the hype, Super Bowl days may be here again
Tom Brady to Randy Moss....touchdown Patriots! That phrase is going to be heard a lot this season in Foxboro and who ever the Patriots are destroying on any given Sunday, Monday or Thursday. These two phenomenal football players have already hooked up for three touchdowns and 288 yards in just two games. Right now, with this explosive and almost unstoppable offense, the Patriots are looking like the NFL's elite and favorites to represent the AFC in this year's Super Bowl in Arizona, oh, and probably beat the living daylights out of whatever NFC team they face. The big question is, "Who can stop the Patriots?". Defending Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts? LaDainian Tomlinson's San Diego Chargers? (not if you watch them get destroyed in week 2 by the Patriots) Baltimore and there stingy defense? Who has what it takes? Belichick's Patriots may not even lose a game the way they are playing, their defense is firing on all cylinders, Moss is playing like the Moss of old and Laurence Moroney is easily fitting into Corey Dillion's shoes as the feature back. Even though the AFC is extremely talented and competitive with Baltimore, Indianapolis, San Diego and the Cincinnati Bengals all playing like contenders every year, the Patriots just look like they are playing as men amongst boys, but if history has told us anything about sports and football in particular its that anything can happen. Since the Patriots already proved the Chargers are no match for them in week 2, beating them very convincingly 38-14, their next big match up will come against the Cincinnati Bengals in week 4 on October 1st, but the mother of all games this season will be on November 4th, just before their bye week against arch rival Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning who are pretty damn good themselves! It is a shame though, having the Patriots and the Colts in the same conference, usually results in a an uneventful Super Bowl (unstoppable AFC team against an unworthy NFC opponent), reminiscent of the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys huge rivalry back when they were the two best teams with the two best quarterbacks (when the NFC was fun to watch). So you can count these mid season match ups as what the Super Bowl should be, but since we cannot change the conferences, lets just enjoy what could be two great games, if both teams meet again in the playoffs. Keep an eye on these boys from New England though, because they are going to be fun to watch all season long!
