Week 14: NFL Schedule and Picks
Thursday Night Game: Oakland at San Diego-
Even though both teams are basically out of the playoff chase, this is an interesting game between two divisional rivals.
San Diego might be better off losing and getting a higher draft pick for next year but they will continue to try and win this game easily behind LaDainian Tomlinson and perhaps a big play from Darren Sproles.
Sunday Week 14 NFL Picks
Jacksonville at Chicago-
The Jaguars looked dead on arrival in their game against Houston so a Bears win looks likely here in week 14. But the NFC North has been dreadful all year. The Bears are the best pick here but the Jags could rise up and steal one.
Minnesota at Detroit-
The Lions only lost 12-10 at Minnesota so logic dictates they should win at home in week 14, right? Wrong. This is the Lions we're talking about. Pick Minnesota.
Houston at Green Bay-
Steve Slaton looks phenomenal for the Texans but Green Bay needs this game more and the home field will propel the Packers to a week 14 win.
Cleveland at Tennessee-
The Browns fought hard against the Colts at home but the Titans have too much not to be the pick here at home.
Cincinnati at Indianapolis-
The Colts should light up the hapless Bengals in this one and Cincinnati's offense is pretty much impotent at this point in the NFL season. Pick the Colts in week 14.
Atlanta at New Orleans-
New Orleans is a sexy pick every week because of their offense while Atlanta keeps proving the doubters wrong. Give New Orleans a slight edge in this one due to home field but they might need a healthy Reggie Bush to win this one.
Philadelphia at New York Giants-
Philly looks great all of a sudden but the Giants are a different beast than the Arizona Cardinals. The Giants win this one as they steamroll toward a possible repeat Super Bowl Title.
New York Jets at San Francisco-
The 49ers played inspired against the Bills but the Jets have too much firepower for them even on the road. Pick the Jets in week 14.
New England at Seattle-
Seattle is no pushover at home but the NFL is a case of the haves and have-nots this year and Seattle doesn't have a whole lot compared to New England. Take the Patriots.
Kansas City at Denver-
Denver is firing on all cylinders now and Kansas City doesn't have the will to tackle a hard runner like Peyton Hillis at this point in the season. Pick Denver here.
Miami at Buffalo-
Buffalo looked awful last week but they will regroup and play better here. Still, Miami sneaks out a close one in this game.
St. Louis at Arizona-
Arizona is a shoo-in, at least on paper at home. Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Breaston, and Anquan Boldin vs. a bad Rams secondary is not going to be pretty for the Rams.
Dallas at Pittsburgh-
The Cowboys might be hitting their stride but the Steelers played great last year. Dallas will come up just short in this one, though.
Washington at Baltimore-
Baltimore and Washington are both built around defense and the running games and the Redskins have a banged-up Clinton Portis. But steadier QB play from Jason Campbell leads the 'Skins to a week 14 win.
Tampa Bay at Carolina-
Finally, a good Monday Night game. The Buccaneers have proven to be no fluke but the Panthers have a more complete team and DeAngelo Williams is playing like a Pro Bowler. Pick the Panthers in this Monday Night Football week 14 matchup.
