The NFL Experience, held in the week prior to Super Bowl XLII, provides hours of football fun for fans of all ages.
Super Bowl XLII is rapidly approaching. While the NFL teams are still vying for a spot in Super Bowl XLII, the activities for Super Bowl Week have already been planned. The week leading up to the game, to be held on February 3, 2008 in Glendale, Arizona, is filled with fun activities for football fans of all ages. All of these activities are combined into one large event called the NFL Experience. Sponsored by the National Football League, the 2008 event marks the 17th year that the NFL experience has been produced.
NFL.com describes the NFL Experience as “pro football's interactive theme park offering participatory games, displays, entertainment attractions, kids' clinics, free autograph sessions and the largest football card show ever.”
• More than 50 NFL superstars will be onsite and are expected to hand out more than 10,000 autographs.
• Topps Super Bowl Card Show – football card collectors will not be disappointed; the Topps Super Bowl Card Show is the largest football card show in production.
• Coaches Chat – get an inside look at the NFL from the coaches themselves.
In addition to the NFL Experience attractions listed above, the NFL brings to Arizona several special events for the Super Bowl XLII NFL Experience.
• Super Bowl Cheer and Dance Competition – junior high, high school, and All-star dance and cheer squads will be competing.
• NFL Punt, Pass and Kick Clinic – Designed for children aged 8-12, the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick Clinic teaches both boys and girls the fundamentals of football.
• Football 101 – learn about football from NFL players themselves.
• NFLX After Dark – this adults-only extravaganza will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2008 from 9:00 pm until midnight.
• Saturday, January 26, 2008 – 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
• Sunday, January 27, 2008 – 11:00 am – 8:00 pm
• Thursday, January 31, 2008 – 3:00 pm
• Friday, February 1, 2008 – 3:00 pm – 10:00 pm
• Saturday, February 2, 2008 – 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
Ticket prices are $17.50 for adults and $12.50 for children under age 12. Tickets for the NFLX After Dark party are $10.00 per person. Admission prices cover all of the activities within the NFL Experience with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Youth Town Education Center in Arizona.
