The Parlay Helper is coming off a 2-1 Week 2, and looks to have a strong Week 3.
The Parlay Helper was 2-1 in Week Two and is heating up. Don’t place your parlay until you read this week’s picks! Kansas City -3 vs. Minnesota There’s no denying Larry Johnson struggled in his first two games, but he won't be contained forever. Johnson’s slow start definitely has something to do with his holdout. He missed out on much of training camp, and Herm Edwards has held him back so far this year. Now with two games under his belt, he should be ready to make an impact. And with the Chiefs desperately needing a win, Edwards will turn to his workhorse to carry them. Minnesota’s run defense is great, but even Edwards won’t lose at Arrowhead after starting 0-2. Vikings come to town without Chester Taylor and Tarvaris Jackson. The Minnesota offense will be in for a long day, as the fans in Kansas City are ready for their home opener. Johnson has only had 26 carries up to this point; expect him to get near that many on Sunday. Also expect a big-game atmosphere that will give the Chiefs a much needed boost, and a win. Indianapolis -6 @ HoustonAfter the close call against Tennessee, Peyton and the boys will be ready for this one. Many feel that the Patriots are now the team to beat in the AFC after demolishing San Diego on Sunday night, so the Colts will be looking to make a statement. Houston loses number one wide out Andre Johnson, who accounted for 262 receiving yards and three scores already this season. Quarterback Matt Schaub will be looking for someone to step up and fill the void left by the receiver who has more than half of the team’s receiving yards through the first two games. The bottom line is this: The Texans rely heavily on Johnson, and you don’t want to be without your top wide receiver when you are playing Indianapolis. . The Texans defense has done well so far this year, but they haven’t seen an offensive attack like this. Manning is just hitting his stride, and will be ready for his division rival, so expect a big day for the Colts. Give the six. Seattle -4 vs. Cincinnati The Bengals were only an 8-8 team last season, and just lost a shootout… to the Browns. There are some serious problems in Cincinnati. And it’s not Carson Palmer or Chad Johnson. Jamal Lewis torched the Cincinnati defense last week for 216 yards. Jamal Lewis. It’s safe to say Shaun Alexander is licking his chops. To make matters worse for the Bengals, they have to travel to Qwest Field this weekend. The Seahawks are coming off a bad loss to Arizona, and will be looking for a bounce-back win. Give the 4 and don’t look back. Last Week: 2-1Season: 3-2-1
