With a quarter of the schedule in the books, some teams are licking their wounds, while other teams are flying high.

Last Week: 10-4, Season 20-8.

Dallas Cowboys at Kansas City Chiefs

The Cowboys are coming off a bad loss to a good Denver squad. Kansas City lacks Denver's offense and defense, so unless Jessica Simpson starts dating Matt Cassel, take Dallas to win big.

Dallas 25, Kansas City 10.

Minnesota Vikings at St. Louis Rams

The Vikings may be the best team in football. Even with a dinged up Adrian Peterson, Brett Favre looks like he could carry the team on his golden right arm. Even more stunning was the old school whipping the Vikes defense laid on the Pack last week.

Minnesota 32, St. Louis 7.

Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens

Cincinnati can take a deep breath and let the heart monitors settle down while their Cardiac Cats travel to Baltimore. There will be no reason to think that Baltimore can't squeak out a win at home.

Baltimore 27, Cincinnati 23.

Cleveland Browns at Buffalo Bills

Look up "unwatchable" in the dictionary to find this game described in detail. Buffalo is praying for Jon Gruden to like cold weather and Cleveland is watching the NBA preseason. Mangini probably fired his last bullet with the switch to Anderson last week followed by a loss.

Buffalo 10, Cleveland 9.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Seattle Seahawks

It's quite a shame that Matt Hasselbeck has been out this year, as the NFC West could have been quite an entertaining divsion with him in it. While it looks like he's going to give it a try this Sunday, Hasselbeck, if he plays, will be rusty. Home cooking and a rusty number 8 should be enough for the Seahwaks.

Seattle 28, Jacksonville 20.

Oakland Raiders at New York Giants

The Giants should be able to have Eli's heel in Epsom Salts by the third quarter.

New York 30, Oakland 17.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Detroit Lions

Just when Detroit ended the losing streak, fate hands them the Steelers to begin a new streak. Pittsburgh has gotten their running game together, and their defense is starting to peak. Look for this to be the game where the Steelers O-line gels for the rest of the season.

Pittsburgh 28, Detroit 15.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Philadelphia Eagles

With Michael Vick having another week under his belt, and Kevin Kolb looking like a number one quarterback (are you listening, Redskins?), the Eagles should cruise against a young Buc team.

Philadelphia 17, Tampa Bay 10.

Washington Redskins at Carolina Panthers

Goodness, are the Redskins bad. Really, really bad. How they are as bad as they are is a mystery, as their roster on paper looks like it's worth about 8 wins alone. They had trouble handling a bad Tampa team at home last week, so there's no way they will contain the Panthers.

Carolina 21, Washington 9.

Atlanta Falcons at San Francisco 49ers

Mike Singletary is turning out the be a really great coach when he keeps his pants on. The Niner's defense is tight, their offense is efficient, and they can grind it out with any team in the league. The jury is still out as to whether Atlanta has the toughness to win this type of game, and they may be a little young for a win.

San Francisco 24, Atlanta 21.

Houston Texans at Arizona Cardinals

Houston barely beat the Titans, who are a mess, and beat up on Oakland, which is like picking on your kid sister. The Cardinals have been through a rougher schedule so far, and they should show more talent this week then they have thus far.

Arizona 27, Houston 22.

New England Patriots at Denver Broncos

Anyone who doesn't smell game of the week has a cold. The Patriots are re-emerging, and will be re-energized by the return of the emotional Junior Seau to the team. The Broncos are flying high after escaping with a win over Dallas last week. Bill Belichick is no Wade Phillips, so look for the Pats' defense to make an example out of Kyle Orton.

New England 38, Denver 29.

Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans

The Titans simply can't get out of their own way. The Colts simply can't lose. Despite these teams playing each other tough, this game should be all Indy.

Indianapolis 35, Titans 20.

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins

The Jet defense is very good, and held up against a New Orleans onslaught. The difference in this game would have been the rookie Mark Sanchez, but the Fish have a rookie now as well. The Jets look up to the challenge of the Wildcat, and as long as Sanchez settles down a bit, the Jets should pick up a big win in the AFC East.

New York 17, Miami 14.
