After a week where the world turned upside down, things should be back to normal this week in the NFL. A wild week 10 kicks off in the NFL with plenty to offer
Last Week: 8-5, Season 64-31 Chicago Bears at San Francisco 49ers (Thursday, November 12)The Niners are at home, but you can see the bloom coming off the rose that was a 3-0 start. The Bears are a senior team, and will prepare better for the short week. Special teams will make the difference. Chicago 23, San Francisco 22. Detroit Lions at Minnesota VikingsExpect the Vikes to quietly continue their winning ways. Minnesota 27, Detroit 10. New Orleans Saints at St. Louis RamsThe Saints have the firepower and personnel to make it to the Super Bowl. The Rams are rebuilding. Look for a ton of points from the Saints. New Orleans 45, St. Louis 10. Atlanta Falcons at Carolina PanthersAlthough this game should be close, perhaps even venturing into overtime, the Falcons have the guts and the skill to get a road win from the Panthers. Atlanta 21, Carolina 20. Buffalo Bills at Tennessee TitansThe coming out party for Vince Young continues. Buffalo was on a bit of a roll, but the party’s over for them. Tennessee 24, Buffalo 17. Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh SteelersCincy has been piling up win after quality win, and faces an old Pittsburgh nemesis. The Steeler bandwagon is a tough one to get off of, especially after their Monday night win at Denver. Look for the game to be close at the end as the Steelers wear out from a short week. Pittsburgh 17, Cincinnati 10. Denver Broncos at Washington RedskinsDenver, you’ve just been whipped by Pittsburgh. How do you spell relief? R-E-D-S-K-I-N-S! Denver 31, Washington 20. Jacksonville Jaguars at New York JetsIt’s a bad idea to pick games with two mediocre teams, but the Jets are at home, and had a week off to boot. Stay off of this game if at all possible. New York 19, Jacksonville 13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Miami DolphinsLack of an offensive line finally caught up with Green Bay last week, and Tampa took full advantage, posting their first win. Don’t expect any momentum from it, as Miami will have enough varied offense to win at home. Miami 27, Tampa Bay 10. Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland RaidersKansas City, fresh off dumping Larry Johnson, will win in Oakland. That being said, Oakland might sign Johnson within the week. Seriously, the jettison of Johnson should prompt good vibrations in the Chiefs locker room. Kansas City 14, Oakland 13. Philadelphia Eagles at Sand Diego ChargersSan Diego toughed it out and scraped out a win against a reeling Giant team. Philadelphia is an up and down team- their success seems to ride on whether Donovan McNabb is playing great or is throwing the ball in the dirt. Trust that San Diego will follow their trend of a big November from past years. San Diego 28, Philadelphia 21. Seattle Seahawks at Arizona CardinalsThe Cards are dealing with some internal strife after the sitting of Anquain Boldin, but it shouldn’t affect them against the Seahawks. Arizona 24, Seattle 10. Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay PackersUh-oh! Green Bay has no protection for their banged up quarterback, and Dallas has been gaining swagger every week. Dallas rolls into Green Bay at the worst possible time for the Pack. Dallas 35, Green Bay 24. New England Patriots at Indianapolis ColtsA possible AFC Championship preview, most would favor this game to have 70 plus points and be a shootout. Look the other way- the score in 2008 was 18-15 in favor of the Colts, and 2007saw a 24-21 Patriots win. Don't buy into the hype. Indianapolis 25, New England 21. Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns (Monday, November 16)Wait, the Browns didn’t lose last week? Oh, they had a bye. Surely their extra week of preparation will.. never mind. Baltimore 29, Cleveland 13.
